Drawing on the life-changing experiences of theEQ Coach Certification program, we interviewed coaches from around the world and identified five essentials every executive and life coach needs. There are many reasons clients seek coaching . Typically they want to develop more confidence, to get focused on a clear vision and find purpose, to get unstuck, to break out of patterns, or to manage change. In the last 17 years the market for coaching has exploded. There is tremendous market opportunity. The estimated global total revenue from coaching in 2015 was $2.356 billion USD, representing a 19% increase over the 2011 estimate. The proliferation of coaches is even faster. ICF reported there were “53,300 professional coach practitioners worldwide” in 2016, up from just 1,500 members in 1999, therefore it is crucial for coaches to differentiate themselves from their peers.
